One of the original plantings in Australia dating back to 1831 some of the generic terms that where once used were Hock , White Burgundy or even Chablis.
Both the Semillon and Chardonnay grapes used in the production of this wine have been 100% grown and sourced in the Barossa Valley
We believe that Semillon has a richness of flavour and when blended with other varieties such as Chardonnay or Riesling will create a lighter delicate style of white wine.
Semillon can produce wines of outstanding character with seemingly endless cellaring potential.
An un-oaked style this blend of Semillon and Chardonnay has produced a wine which displays hints of zesty grapefruit and green apple with a crisp finish. The blend consists of 80% Semillon and 20% Chardonnay. This blend of dry white varieties grown at our Lyndoch vineyards is an excellent wine for fish dishes and any light white meats.
